In recent years, the booming development of EV and Photovoltaic-Energy Storage-Charging Integrated System has led to a sharp increase in the demand for DC-Link capacitors.

In case supplying from Lithium battery pack contains very high RMS (Root Mean Square) pulse current or very high peak pulse current to MCU (abbreviation of Motor Control Unit), the DC link will be charged by high pulse voltage directly then MCU will be damaged. Therefore, a DC link capacitor in circuit is needed necessarily.

The function of DC-Link capacitor is to absorb high pulse currents, smooth bus voltage, prevent IGBTs and SiC MOSFET switches from impact from high pulse currents or instantaneous voltages during operation.

Edge-sealed laminated bus bar is core infrastructure of DC link capacitor. The most important advantages of edge-sealed laminated bus bar are extremely low inductance value, reliable insulation of insulation materials, and good performance of anti-power supply pollution. In high-power, high-current power electronics applications, low-inductance laminated bus bars are one of the keys to the safe and efficient operation of IGBT devices.

Edge-sealed laminated bus bar (hereafter Edge-sealed LBB) provided by NORTHBRIDGE, is manufactured by proprietary laminating process technologies.

Edge-sealed LBBs provided by NORTHBRIDGE, use UL recognized, high voltage and heat resistant insulating materials, which provide superior performance required to meet various industry applications.

China local experienced R&D team and project management team are able to develop customized LBB for customer then provide holistic NPI (abbreviation of New Product Introduction) project management service. The maximum size of edge-sealed LBB provided by NORTHBRIDGE, could reach to 2300 mm x 700 mm.
